Too who it may concern. I have purchased a GO 720 over one year ago from JB HI FI. I am very disappointed with this product. I am consistently frustrated and angry and most times i want to throw the TomTom out of the car window. Its totally useless. I can drive for hours before it finds its location. In fact i reckon that I can drive half way to Melbourne from Adelaide before the units decides to work even on a sunny clear day. Totally useless. what pisses me off as well is that I paid way over $700.00 for a product that does not work. I will be recommending people not to buy a tomtom and to purchase a cheap overseas product for half the price that works way more effectively than a crappy tomtom

Not sure who on earth would tell you to get iPhone help from a tech website. Please contact Apple.

Hey mate. Nice job with your setup. Any tips for an amateur in podcasting. Just subscribed. I've done allot of coding in Web languages although would like to pick up the skill of iphone application development. Any particular way you would suggest about becoming an iphone developer for apps?

Get rid of that annoying woman calling the AFl…I turn the tv down so I can't hear her..she is painful.
She is in the one tone all the time.
They tried a woman caller years ago and it failed…so has this one

Great column, but spoiled by egregious grammar usage…
Also get passionate about writing well, and you’ll go far!
If you’re [your is wrong. Please get it right. you're is short for you are] an Apple family, then you’re [your is again wrong. Please get it right. you're is short for you are] likely to have a Apple TV as well as an iOS device. Playing to their strengths, Apple has improved interoperability between the two. AirPlay allows streaming of content wirelessly to your [this is the correct usage of your] Apple TV which is connected to your HDTV. While this sounds like a great way to get content from your [this is the correct usage of your] device to the TV, personally I prefer to stream from the original source, either a computer or in my case a Home Server. Another issue is the resolution of the content. Most people downsize videos to fit the iPhone or iPad screen, which is 1024×768 pixels at best. When scaled up to a TV of 42+ inches, the quality will look pretty ordinary.

If you’ve kept your [this is the correct usage of your] original content at 720p,

Any tips for Podcasting… yeah start now. Do it as often as you can. Be passionate about what your covering and the audience will build.

Something I’ve yet to be able to do is do it on a regular schedule, but I’d definitely recommend this.

While you could get away with average quality, consumer expectations have risen, so overtime upgrade your equipment to get the best results possible.

  • http://techAU.tv techau

Hi Graham, I have no idea where that reference is. If you can link me to both the infringing comment and your trademark, I’d be happy to take it down. Regards.

Please check your audio levels when doing your podcast!  It makes no sense to be a tech podcast and not get these simple things right.  In the past your levels were too low, so there was a loud hiss in the background.  On the last podcast your levels were way too high, and your voice was distorting badly.

  • http://techAU.tv techau

    Hey Matt,

Completely understand your frustration. I wasn’t happy with the audio quality either.

Its a new setup so still working out the bugs. Hope to have it sorted for #55.

In forza testing did you notice kinect speech recognition works!!!

  • http://techAU.tv techau

Yep, sure did. There are only very limited set of options, so not as impressive as full Australian voice support. Microsoft committed at Tech.Ed to deliver voice control for Australia by the end of the year. It’s likely that it will arrive with the new Metro Dashboard update. It’s been a long time coming. Voice control is also available in Kinect Labs. Subject: [techau] Re: Contact
