Facebook launches new UI

Posted on: 5/Feb/10

Continuing along the never-ending quest for perfection, the Facebook UI has been changed again. The main change is a restructuring of the top navigation bar. Yes people it’s a change, so grab your pitchforks and scream to the hills, but spend some time with it, you’ll find just like last time, you can actually adjust pretty quickly.

I just got the new update. So far, I don't like that the main page is dynamic, while other pages are at a fixed with. That is just plain stupid. Pick one facebook

I am not sure if you noticed, but if you click on games on the left hand side, you can see what games people play and when they last played it. I am not sure how well that goes down with Privacy.

A lot of the complaints people are making about the new UI would be solved if the pane at the left of the home page did not scroll when scrolling through posts. A fairly simple adjustment. The left pane could include the main headers so that notifications etc would still be seen and accessible all the time not just when at the top of the page.
