Halo 3 ODST released

The latest release of the Halo franchise is upon us. Halo 3 ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) uses the Halo 3 engine, but contains a complete new story line. So much so that some hardcore Halo fans may be disinterested in this game.

There’s no MasterChief to play as, instead you play as a human, with human limitations, so your speed and jump height have been scaled back to represent reality.

With that said this game is likely to be a smash success. Halo has one of the most dedicated fan basses and have followed the franchise through Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo Wars. If that sounds like you, and the new direction doesn’t shake you, then you can go pick up Halo 3 ODST now.
