Interestingly the Lenovo is down on processor and memmory speeds, however this offset by the additional features of an optical drive, ethernet and multiple USB ports.

Another unique feature to the X300 is the ability to switch out your optical drive and insert another battery for up to a claimed 10 hours of battery life, compared to the Macbook Air’s 5. Also note claimed and actual vary significantly.

Either way, the Lenovo is a great competitor for the Macbook Air, and if your really after the lightest / thinnest notebook out of the 2, then the Lenovo takes the crown.

With only a few dollars separating the two Solid State versions, your choice will ultimately come down to which OS / Logo you prefer.
