The new Dell 2408WFP offers the most impressive set of connectors I’ve seen on a display, passed down from it’s big brother the Dell 30″. These include the new Display Port connector, HDMI for easy connection to home entertainment products like video cameras, 2 DVI ports, VGA Component and I’m not to sure why, but also the out dated Composite and S-video.

The resolution you can extract out of this beast is an impressive 1,900 x 1,200, which is strangely shy 20 pixels of the Samsung. All the connections come at a cost with the new Dell 24″ hitting the market at US $748.

Samsung have entered into the 24″ display market with their 2493HM model. While slightly down on connectors, the Samsung offers a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, HDMI, DVI, and a 5ms response rate.

The best part about the Samasung 2493HM is the price. Only US $599, that’s $149 cheaper than the Dell.

Summary:
