Pownce shutting down!
In a post from on the Pownce blog, developer Leah Culver announced yesterday that Pownce will close.
“We have some very big news today at Pownce. We will be closing the service and Mike and I, along with the Pownce technology, have joined Six Apart, the company behind such great blogging software as Movable Type, TypePad and Vox.”
It’s sad to see a service like Pownce, which I’ve used sporadically since launch. It’s main competition Twitter didn’t offer the ability to share files, but has certainly gain a much larger following than Pownce.
