Third and final round of NXE invites sent out

Yesterday the last round of invites to the new Xbox Experience (or dashboard update) were sent out. I like many were the recipient of the related email. The email stated that by 5pm PST 14th November, 9am 15th Nov our time (Australian east coast), so this morning I was up early checking for the update.
Unfortunately my own console is still away getting repaired or replaced from the red ring of death (RROD). What I discovered was the early invites to the NXE are tied to the console ID of which I entered when signing up for early access. I tried using my HDD on a friends Xbox 360, assuming the availability was tied to my account / gamertag rather than my console ID. Sadly this isn’t the case.
While there has been some issues with the NXE being reported in the Xbox forums, the general perception seems to be very positive towards the new NXE. The good news is there’s not long to wait till everyone gets access to the NXE – November 19th.
