I love when companies produce world firsts, when a company is actually innovative. Not ‘look how innovative we are, we’re releasing a device that now does what competitors have been doing for months.’

The Toshiba Qosmio G40 laptop has some very impressive specs. A 17″ screen running a very fancy 1920 x 1200 res. Also supporting a 2.2GHz Core 2 processor, you can option up to 4GB RAM, 400GB HDD, get this, dual HD tuners, HDMI I mean the list of goodies just keep going.

Then add in the sweet brand new Re-Writeable High Definition DVD drive.

Now on to cost. Of course the price will be steep for the device, starting around US $3500, then you’ll have the cost of HD-DVD-RW discs. No doubt they’ll be rare at first, this is after all a future looking device. Start saving now.

It deserves what it costs I think. However, I'll not purchase such an expensive laptop now. Maybe later.
